Finally, the hospital says we can visit Lara. She has been moved to a normal room which should mean she will pull through. Katherine wanted to come with me, but she had a photoshoot. She told me that should would go after or the next day, but insisted I should go today.

I pick up some flowers, though I could pick some up at the hospital, I know a place that has better flowers. I also pick up a little bear holding a sign that says "Get Well Soon."

"Parvati, it is so good to see you." Katherine grins and hugs me as I reach her and I hug her back.

"You too," I smile as we pull back. Then my gaze falls on the third member of our party and I feel my stomach clench and worry run through me. Lara doesn't look like herself. A dress that should have fit her just right looks baggy. I can see dark circles under her eyes, even though she is wearing make up. Then her eyes...they don't seem to hold the same bubbly happiness I have seen in the past.

A rapping on the window makes me jump and I sigh as my nail polish stroke goes off. Merlin, this means I will have to take the nail polish off then put it back on and it never is as good the second time.

I haven't seen Lara or Katherine lately, but I haven't forgotten about our chat. I really hope that Lara is going through a phase of some sort. Though I will probably be able to tell next time I see her. Even if she lost five pounds, I could probably tell because she doesn't need to.

I shake my head and decide to get stop in and get a Green Tea Latte. It's a nice comfort drink when I have things on my mind.

"Our relative is in the news again," Padma speaks up from where she is reading the newspaper. I have my foot on a towel, carefully painting my toes. I wouldn't mind paying someone doing it, but no place is open this late at night and I have to make sure they look good tomorrow. I am wearing sandals to go to the agency tomorrow. I am wearing a new skirt and a shirt that is very flattering.

I fake a smile as the beach scene is photographed. We are doing pages for a magazine, focused on summerwear. The beach we are on is as fake as my smile, but we live in England. There are very few beaches and none that look like this. Merlin, if there was, I would be there much more often.

I haven't had anymore interactions with the man from last week. Padma is still worried, though she shouldn't be. I warned her just to not go to those bookstores and find some new ones. She didn't seem too happy about it, but she hasn't mentioned anymore problems. She's been spending at a lot of time at St. Mungos though. Even when she's not scheduled to work. I tell her she works too much, but she barely listens.

I glance in the mirror and turn one way, then another. I love this dress. It's beautiful. Flowing, but fitting. Perfect for the new club opening next week.

I change into my street clothes, designer jeans, boots and halter top. It is still a bit chilly, but I brought my jacket with me. Actually, it is Padma's, but we've always shared clothes. Our tastes are different now, but she still has some things I like and I know she's borrowed a few things of mine.

I glance over at my clock and I am tempted to roll over again. However, the blinds aren't closed completely and I would either have to get out of bed to get my wand or fix them myself, which would defeat the purpose of staying in bed.

I can hear Padma moving around the other room. She's quiet, but I can still tell. Also, since it's just the two of us, I hope it's her. The only other choices would be a robber or a wizard she brings home and I think the former is more likely.

Getting under the covers a bit more, I think about last night.

I jump awake as I hear a loud crashing sound followed by an Indian curse. It isn't like something Padma would usually say, but it is her.

It's still early for me, but I decide to see what happened. It sounded like more than one thing following. It sounded like a few things all at once.

Yawning, I get to my feet and shrug on my robe. "Padma?" I ask as I make my way to the kitchen.

Padma is acting odd again. Well, more odd than usual. She's been acting a bit jumpy, but refuses to talk about it. Something spooked her and I know I could easily find out what it is. I know where she keeps that journal she writes in. I'll wait though, to see if this keeps up.

Usually, she thinks things over for awhile before talking about them. That is another difference between the two of us. More than once, I've said things before I can stop myself. It's just another one of the differences between Padma and myself.

Padma's been a bit grumpy since she was late to work yesterday. It was only by a few minutes, but she asked me to not take so long next time. She also asked if it was possible for me to use magic so it would be quicker. Certainly, magic can work, but it isn't the same.

Due to this, I decided to go out before she came home from work. Usually I try to convince her to go out and sometimes she does. I knew she wouldn't today, so I thought I would go out before then.

I can't help but grin as I move on the dance floor with the other two witch models the agency represents. The three of us are very different in terms of look. Katherine has dark hair, green eyes and fair skin, very Irish. Lara on the other hand, looks as if she should be a beach, tan, light blonde hair and blue eyes. Then there is me. Perhaps it is because we look different that we have never competed against each other for jobs, which is why we can get along.

As the song ends, I fan myself with my hand. With so many people, various hot lights and so much dancing, it's no surprise. "I'm going to get something to drink," I call to them.

They say that all the world’s a stage and all the people merely players. I say that all the world’s a photo shoot. I don’t know what all the people are, but I know what I am. A model. Too short for the catwalk, I don’t mind. I prefer the flashes of the cameras.
